What is Land of Sky Westngn?
WestNGN is a Land of Sky project dedicated to expanding access to digital tools within the region. Our primary focus is on ensuring that people in the Land of Sky area have reliable broadband access and large-screen devices, enabling them to fully participate in the 21st-century economy. This means we are working to bridge the digital divide and ensure that everyone has the resources they need to thrive in an increasingly connected world.
Grant Writing for my Organization?
No, Land of Sky WestNGN can't write a grant for funding on your behalf. However, we can assist in the development of the plan and provide you with relevant resources.
Are you an ISP?
No, Land of Sky WestNGN is not an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and cannot directly provide you with internet access. However, we work closely with ISPs in the region to help ensure that people have reliable internet connections. While we can assist with expanding access, we do not offer internet services ourselves.
What are Great Grants ?
The GREAT Grant, or the Growing Rural Economies with Access to Technology Grant, is an NC State program that focuses on funding ISPs to complete last-mile projects throughout the state. It has been particularly important in the western part of North Carolina due to the higher costs and the more remote nature of working on broadband infrastructure in this region.
